Description:

With the efforts of many experts in the year, the forth Sports Blue Book, Annual Report on Development of Sports Industry in China (2015) published. Different from the past, the book is standing on a new historical beginning. In October, 2014, the State Council issued A Number of Opinions on Speeding up Sports Industry Construction to Promote Consume of Sports Goods. It has offered clear and compelling top-design for future sports development. Examination and approval of mass games and commercial games has been cancelled, national fitness has upgraded to a national strategy and sports consumption has become a new hot spot. In March 2015, An Overall Plan for Chinese Football Reform and Development has been published. This guiding document, including 50 measurements, has been deemed as a major milestone in China’s football history. The new reform, with strong strength, new wording and a great many of real ideas, bucked the whole sports world up. The Plan is a national document, which has transcended sectors and industry. Although it aimed at football, its influence and radiation has not limited to football only.

As China’s only continuous annual report in the field of reports, this Sports Blue Book using a range of research methods, eg: literature, quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, case study method, etc. Besides sports events industry, sports goods industry, sports stadium industry and sports medium industry, the other research on the basis of a variety of hot events just around the sports field within the past year, including but not limited to football reform, internet plus, sports investment and financing, game copyrights, road running market and campus sports, further enlarges the extent and depth of the research, lifting it to a new level.

As the sports industry reports, sports events industry and sports goods industry are always integral parts of the report. Through the analysis and interpretation of the events data that can present the development of China’s sports events industry and provide a different kind of research perspectives and dimensions. Sports goods industry, which has suffered a four-year decline, has finally come back to life. And it also made new progresses on the way to innovation and standardization. The report also probes deeply into the present situation of sports venue, which shows that there exist some problems such as deficiency of sports venues per capita, a low degree of opening to the public, a single investor for sports venues and an unreasonable distribution of the venues. In addition, the fights on sports copyright are also heating up. The price for copyright has even made a tenfold rise. Facing the increasingly drastic occasion, how can the sports video accept the expensive copyright cost? The Report focuses on the explosive marathon, and makes relative investigations about the road running market in our country. The Book elaborates in detail on the three characteristics of interscholastic athletics in Britain and America, which are amateur principle, modern organization and business operation. It also proposes some relative strategic suggestions for Chinese university sports. The 8th part pays close attention to the fundamental answer to improve students’ physical fitness. As senior journalists working in front of sports reports, the authors study this issue from educational mechanism, physical education concept and so forth. This year’s Book sets up a chapter about districts and focuses on NBA in rural China—Wancun Basketball Match of Guangxi, which was founded in 2006. The establishment of Wancun Basketball Game is a normalized try in Guangxi non-governmental basketball, which is of great importance in Chinese basketball. It not only promoted the social transition in rural areas and grass-rooted basketball culture, but also cultivated basketball market in China and innovated sports industry.
