The Quality-of-life Index of Chinese Cities (QLICC) of 30 cities was released for the first time on the fifth Chinese Economic Growth and Period Forum in 2011 by the Quality of Urban Life Research Centre under National Institute for Economic Experimentation (NIEE), which has been well received at home and appeals to international counterparts and the World Bank and other international institutes. Many domestic newspapers had made some in-depth and interpretative reports about this research. In 2012, the research center made a tracking survey about the quality of urban life, and this book is the outcome of this survey.
