In order to comprehensively review innovation of surveying, mapping and geoinformation in China, and to promote development of surveying, mapping and geoinformation affairs, the Development Research Centre of Surveying and Mapping of National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation edited this blue book report on innovation of surveying, mapping and geoinformation in China（2012）.
The book is the fourth one of the Blue Book of China's Surveying & Mapping & Geographic Information in the Social Sciences Academic Press series. Xu Deming, the director of the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, is the chief editor of this book. Officials, experts and entrepreneurs were invited to write articles about the innovation of surveying, mapping and geoinformation. In these papers, development, achievement and problems of innovation of surveying, mapping and geoinformation in China in recent years are analyzed.
