Social Sciences Academic Press is making effort to construct a platform for promoting international works of humanities and social sciences.

The world demand for knowledge about China is increasing rapidly along with China’s increasing influence in global politics, economy, culture and etc. as a result of her rapid integration with the world. Against this background, SSAP is making effort to utilize its own merits, actively carry out international academic cooperation and exchange, and construct a platform for promoting international works of humanities and social sciences.

SSAP held more than ten international or domestic academic conferences every year, established long-term friendly cooperative relations with many notable experts and scholars, and communicated profoundly with the Nobel winners Heckman, McFaddan and world famous sociologist Gunder Frank. Besides, distinguished scholars Habermas, Manuel Castells and others were also on our invitation list and participated our forums.

In recent years, SSAP are introducing a big number of outstanding oversea books, among them, Top-quality Translated Works of Social Sciences, Collection of Translated Works on Globalization, Collection of Translated Works on Social Theory, Series of Studies on Capitalism have gained general recognitions, which have also been a major function in establishing SSAP’s authority in the field of our country’s humanities & social sciences publications, and building SSAP into a worldwide publishing press.

In recent years, SSAP has published a big number of original works by scholars well-known in China and in the world. These scholars include some notable economists, sociologists and political scientists, such as Yang Xiokai, Huang Youguang, Lang Xianping, Lin Yifu, Lu Xueyi, Li Peilin, Sun liping, Cai Fang, Xie Yu, Yu Keping and Huang Ping.
